Plot/Intro:
Metal Earth
the human race has destroyed Earth. Many years ago, the last war broke out on Earth, nuclear weapons were used, and almost everything was destroyed. Some humans were saved, carted off in search of another planet, but Earth has been desolated. now the air is extremely toxic. Most of the people who were saved were scientists, bringing knowledge along with them on the journey to find a new home. They have yet to find one, and are forced to live on the ship. The ship, also known as Metal Earth, is equip with everything you would need, the core a huge water refinery, cleaning and purifying the reused water. Trees are grown, the oldest and largest are the three oaks that were the first to be grown. The oxygen supply in the tanks has long gone, but the plants provide plenty of fresh oxygen. A few animals were brought along, cats and dogs, smaller specimens. DNA samples of all species were also brought along, in hopes that they can some day bring them back when they find a new planet to settle on.
The ship is exactly one forth the size of the Earth, taking all of the natural resources of Earth to make, but the builders knew the inevitable. It is so large that it has it's own forests and lakes inside. The ship uses no fuel, instead, using solar power to move through space. picking up light energy from stars.
Humans have mastered the science of genetics, and have already brought back most of the animals once lost, except for large predators. The thinking of the scientists have brought them to the only conclusion they could think of. The problem with the predators would be, they needed to have them smart enough to know who, and who not to attack. They needed to limit the growth of the prey animals, and bring forth new predator species. The conclusion they came to, was that they needed to create beings smart enough, yet still have predatory instincts towards the prey animals. They have perfected the prototypes, loaded information into their brains, and now it is time to wake them up.
