Are auditions of some sort required? - nope
Is there some sort of plot? If so, what is it? -Earth has been forgotten about. Most nations have now moved into space leaving the poor, old, and diseased on Earth. It is even used to hold criminals. Yet while Earth is looking bad space is looking even worse. The nations are at each others necks trying to figure out who should rule space. Each side has there leaders. For the Axis it is Gabriel Vandom and for the Allies it's Michale Rommel. Gabriel wants to rule over the nations with an iron fist and make it a dictatorship while Michale wants peace with all nations. Each side has their Gundams ready for action and are now waiting for the command. What side will you choose? Will you fight for freedom or for Gabriel's complete control.

Are beings other than humans allowed? If so, what type? - not really but you if you want just ask
Is magic allowed? - no
Other - It's like World War II but with Gundams and it takes place in Space
