It has been many years since Eragon defeated Galbatorix. The land of Alagaësia was prospering until a new king came to power. He was crushed instantly; though his rein was short, he did much damage. Two dragon eggs were smashed during his rule, and once again the riders came to a fall. Years past and the land was once again in turmoil. Wars raged between the Varden and the Elves, even bringing chaotic aftermath to the other lands. After the fighting stopped, Alagaësia began to slowly regain its economy. Though the riders were heard no more. Now, only a few elves believed the stories, that many others take to be a mere fantasy. There are only five dragon eggs left, and a new generation of riders are to be born.
