Plot

It was early in the morning when they came. Nobody knows from where, but they all know that after that day, nothing was the same. All that people had created was gone and they were dying. Animals were taking over once again, cities were turning to forests, few survived.

But some survived. Those with 'The Gift', who could learn from the animals and be accepted into their packs and herds. They could communicate on the most primitive level and as a result, they had survived... They understood the animals and cared for them. Many of 'The Gifted' had at least basic medical training and seemed to have decent outdoors skills.

The animals didn't mind, exept when humans couldn't harm each other... But when they did, all hell broke loose, since the humans were violent animals... Even when their species faced extinction... Strange, but the animals accepted it into their lives.

Because of 'The Change', many things had happened. Besides losing technology, humans and animals alike had discovered that some of them had other gifts. Some wolves, for example, had the gift to speak to any other species and summon freshly killed animals to them. Humans might be able to heal, communicate, or help things grow. Deer could help grass to grow, while Cougars could summon dead animals as well.
These gifts were not common, but sometimes it occured and it grew stronger as it was passed down through generations.

Besides surviving and, sometimes, recieving gifts, humans had the ability to breed with animals. Nobody was sure how, but it happened. The resulting mixes often looked like a mix of both parents (ex. Wolf-human cross might produce a human with wolf ears, tail, paws, and sences) This was extremely uncommon, but it happened occasionally.
