.:The valley of Grey is a place where equines from far and near have chosen to gather for centuries. Maybe it is the lush grazing that attracts them, maybe it’s the large selection of terrains, the vast areas that one can roam upon. Is it because of the sheltered atmosphere, because the lands allow only equines to live there? Maybe it is all of these, or maybe it’s something else entirely. Maybe the beings flock here because they can sense the power that this place holds. Seeking shelter here in hope to themselves be blessed with this inner strength.:.

.:There is a never-ending war going on in the lands of Grey. A steady conflict between the good and the evil, the dark and light, both sides trying to rid the globe of the other. Both convinced that they know the truth about life, and that their way is the only way. Feuds ensue and a general sense of unease looms over the lands. The Elemental Leaders try their best to keep their disciples united, but do they do it for peace, or is there a darker purpose? Do they want a united group for the sake of peace, or for the sake of war against the other elements? Is it a team they wish to group together, or are they recruiting an army?:.

.:There are of course those rebels who choose to remain neutral. The peaceful souls who only wish to live a serene life in harmony with all. Some call them cowards, some stupid, but take a moment to contemplate the facts. What is truly evil, and what is wholly good? Isn’t there a bit of good in the most dark and shadowy beings, and isn’t there some malevolence in the most virtuous angel? Is the world really separated in black and white, or is it just varying shades of grey?:.

.:It is for you to decide if you will join forces with the angelic ones of the north, the dark and sinister ones of the south, or the impartial ones of the west. Will you be faithful to your element or turn your back on it all together? Only the guardians of time and the brilliant web of fate know the answer to those questions, and I assure you, they aren’t telling… But then again, it’s more fun to find out on your own, right?:.

-Are wings and magic powers allowed? - wings are not allowed, powers however are, but they must be awarded
-Are fantasy horses, such as unicorns, allowed? - no
-Other - This is an advanced elemental equine RP. There is a lord and lady of each element, earth, air, fire, and water. Equines are classed into elements depending on their breed and personalities. Each equine also has an alliance, either dark, light, or rebel, depending on their personal preferences. In other words you are born to your element, you choose your alliance.

We need equines of all elements and alliances, especially darks and water equines, but all are welcome! We are also in need of stallions so feel free to join as a stally! Most applicants will be accepted, just post a decent sample.

Version 3.5, Square One, is now up! Here is the updated plot story:


After an era of reasonable prosperity, the lands of Grey suffered a rather alarming downswing. Alphas suddenly took to vanishing, whole terras were left abandoned. The elemental terrains were hit hard as well, mares were left for long periods of time lonely and unattended in the new arrivals area. But now the times again are changing, because spring has sprung and brought new life to the equines of Grey. This season should prove to be a pleasant one. The weather so far promises well, plenty of warmth, grazing, and water for everyone to drink. Will all of this be enough to draw residents back to the forgotten dwellings?

Earth, Air, Fire, and Water are all in need of loyal subjects to build up their ranks. The Spirit equines still remain a minority but that could change quickly. The Darks and the Lights continue to remain firm in their beliefs while the Neutrals and the Rebels seem to be growing farther and farther apart. There are whisperings of alliances being needed between herds, what kind of effect would that have? Will the Lords and the Ladies earn themselves an heir or will the thrones simply wither away, neglected? The possibilities are endless, only fate holds the answer, what is the future of Shades of Grey?
