Are Auditions Of Some Sort Required? Example posts are required in the form, but no actual auditions are required. Canon characters are not playable by members, so there is no real part to audition for.
What fandom is the RP based off of? When in the fandom does it take place? Onyx Age is based around a DC Elseworlds universe in future times. It takes place 17 years after Infinite Crisis as if 52 and everything that follows didn't happen, with some exceptions.
Is there some sort of plot? If so, what is it? It is 17 years after the Infinite Crisis.
But it is not the world you would know.
Clark Kent never regained his powers, instead going into politics as his way of changing the world. Bart Allen never took the mantle of the Flash up, and never died. The tenth age of magic started later than it should have, resulting in a madman with the power of Fate waging a one-man war on the world. Many of the world's heroes have been killed, those that are left either retired or are struggling to hold on to their lives.
It is a time when new heroes are needed more than they ever have been before.
It is the Onyx Age.
New site-wide plots will be announced in the form of 'Issues' every few months attempting to coincide with what can be considered universal breaks in academic schedules.
The current Issue can be found here: Onyx Age Issue 0: A Time for Heroes
Which characters are allowed? Original characters, though original legacies of canons are possibilities.
Other: The intention of this site is for people who enjoy the enjoy the DCU setting and mythologies but don't want to deal with extremely over-powered canons and would like to play an original hero in such a setting. As such, the only canons are played by the staff only for furthering the plot or inflicting punishment for breaking the rules.
