Species allowed - The Red Meadow is a wolf role-playing site where you can choose any species or appearance of lupin. However, the site is mildly based off the book, The Sight, but you need not have read it to join. You also role-play, along with your wolf, any type of bird as a Helper or Seer. For example a gray wolf and a raven.
Host - The host is proboards. I love the organization there! It is so easy to read and find information.
Approximate member number - We have about 15 at the moment, but the site has really improved and it fairly new.
Difficulty - The difficulty is probably more towards medium, but can be suitable for all. However, you need to have good grammar and sentence structure skills and no chat speak that fill up the boards with useless conversation. There are rules against spamming and the admins (I am a moderator) try to stop people from doing it as much as possible.
Activity - The activity is going very well. So far it is quick, seeing as there are many active role-players....including myself. It is asked though that if you join it is not only for advertising purposes or just to sign-up and never post. These two actions will result in deleltion. Overall, it is very fast at the moment.
Rating - Anyone can join! The site is appropaite for any age!
Are auditions of some sort required? - No, they are not. It is required to fill out a character biography for refernce when role-playing. (You start a thread outlining who your character is.)
Is there some sort of plot? - The site is still quite new, but we have been getting members quite quickly. Each plot is made up as your role-play. Whether you are in the valley or the great winter forests. The clans have many allies...and enemies and they are still in need of members.
Is talking allowed? - Yes, talking is allowed out of character. There are many boards for discussions and just general. Many threads are included to help newcomers.
Are wings and magic powers allowed? - No, magical powers are not allowed. Who ever heard of a magical wolf? The most unrealisitc point is that you can role-play a bird along with your wolf character.
Other - You can find me, Falstaf (my wolf) and Crimson (my red-tailed hawk) there, or Luxor (the admin). Luxor promised that if anyone was to join, they can IM him and he will give them some free posts to start off with.
The site is looking great as well. There are many experienced admins and moderators that organize the forum real nicely.
Overall, I hope to see you there, at the Red Meadow! It is a role-playing experience worth having!
