Plot/Intro: The rolling fields of the countryside have been there for as long as anyone can remember, lush green grass growing beneath your paws, tall, towering trees providing the perfect amount of shelter to protect you from the weather. Streams with the purest, coolest waters trickle down between the landmarks, whilst a huge lake sits nestled in the woodlands, the centre of life in the rural areas. The wolves had lived there since the whole area had been discovered, and their lives together were peaceful and calm. Obviously, there were the battles for leadership and other important positions, but it was only what nature intended, and life was good. But things like this could never last forever, and after so many years of being alone, the wolves started to realise something was wrong.
Man had started to come to the lands on which they lived, and whilst he came and went pretty quickly, that wasn’t the end of it. In no time at all, the people had taken advantage of the wide-open spaces, and the beginnings of a city started to be built. Houses, skyscrapers, roads… It all happened over a vast amount of time, but it appeared as if nothing could stop the expansion. With the new scenery came humans – Thousands of them. They set up residence in the stony cold buildings, and eventually, it was finished. Still a little confused by it all, the wolves watched from the sidelines, tears filling their eyes as they saw the lands they loved destroyed, less than half of what they used to have still belonging to them.
And so nothing changed for years. The wolves that had first seen the city coming had passed on, and a new generation had grown used to the strange new climate. The wolves lived solely in the countryside, and never ventured onto the sidewalks, for man feared them. He heard their calls at night, and told his children frightful stories of what the canines would do to them if they chose to wander too far from the streetlights. But it wasn’t long before the dogs started to take to the streets, living as strays, for many numerous reasons that could be seen in all towns like this. They were curious about their relatives out in the wilderness, and whilst they longed to go explore, they too believed that it would be dangerous.
But the wolves, on the other hand, no longer simply wanted to know what was going on. They knew that the humans had taken over much of their land, and their hatred soon turned on the canines that lived on the streets. They were their cousins, and yet they lived alongside the people, and from what the wolves could see, were their allies. Bloodlust and a screaming want for revenge drove them to hate the domestic dogs, and so the wolves joined together, to make a supreme pack – Called ‘The Rebellion’. One day, they wanted to invade the city, kill all the canines that lived there, and turn their attention on man, winning back what was rightfully theirs. The time couldn’t come soon enough, but much preparation was to be made first.
Word of the wolves’ plans came to the dogs ears, and at first, they were scared. But from this fear, there came a need to protect their own homes, and whilst they didn’t become a large group, they made their own plans on their own, families either choosing to stay and fight, when the time came, or flee, leaving the city forever. Not all of their thoughts were of killing the wolves, and the same could be said for the canines living out in the wild, but a large majority of the two sides hated each other, and anger that seemed it could never be quenched until one team won for good.
Who’s side will you join? The ferocious, vengeful wolves, or the defensive dogs that live in the city? Will you be a peacemaker, trying to join the two sides together, or will you simply hide, and hope the whole thing will soon be over? One thing is sure – Things around here will never be the same again…
